NHL brothers will each play a Game 7

Brothers will both skate in Stanley Cup Playoffs Game 7s on successive days.

Nicholas Robertson and the Toronto Maple Leafs will face the Boston Bruins on Saturday at 8 p.m. EST at TD Garden in the deciding contest of their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series.

The Maple Leafs' 2-1 win on Thursday night at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena forced Game 7.

On Sunday at 7:30 EST, older brother Jason and his Dallas Stars will host the Vegas Golden Knights at the American Airlines Center in Game 7 of the Western Conference first-round playoff series after the Golden Knights' 2-0 win at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Friday night.

Jason, 24 and a left wing, is one of the NHL's budding stars.

He had 29 goals and 80 points during the regular season after successive campaigns of over 40 goals. Jason had 46 goals and 63 assists for 109 points and was a first-team All-Star in 2022-23.

He has three goals and two assists for five points in the playoffs.

Nicholas, 22 and also a left wing, is still trying to establish himself in the National Hockey League after injuries have slowed his development. He has endured a knee injury, a broken leg and a shoulder injury that required surgery.

Nicholas had 14 goals and 27 points in 56 games with Toronto this season. He played in a combined 31 games the previous three seasons with three goals and seven points.

He does not have a point in the playoffs.
